Radio was my first love. From the cash-starved days in community radio where you tried to make programmes with a ball of string and some sellotape to national broadcasting with an audience in the millions. I have worked in local radio in Ireland (98FM Dublin, Live 95FM Limerick, 96FM Cork) and national radio here as well as in Italy and Australia (Today FM, RTE, Radio Popolare, SBS Melbourne). I have won funding to produce features and documentaries here and abroad covering subjects as diverse as Brazilian social care, refugees in Lebanon, communication technology and digital media. What unites my work is knowing my audience and knowing how to create a story that is informative and engaging.
